What is the WordPress plugin? A plugin is software that extends the functionality of a WordPress theme. This allows you to add many features to your site without programming.
Plugins can also be called as modules. In some programs, they can also be referred to as addons, add-ons, addins, add-ins or extensions.

Where to find the WordPress plugin?
A list of WordPress extensions can be found on the official WordPress website. Currently, there are over 55,000 such extensions in this repository, all of which are free.
There are many features of free plugins that are sufficient for most standard sites. However, if you need premium plugins with more advanced features, I suggest you start searching in Codecanyon.
How to install the plugin in WordPress
To install a new module, select Plugins ›Add new in WP administration. Another way is to click Plugins in administration and then click Add new at the top of the page.
By clicking Add New, a new list of plugins from the official WordPress.org website will open. You can filter this list by recommended, popular or favourite modules. You can also search for a specific WordPress plugin here.
You can view the features of each add-on by clicking the name or by clicking the Details link. A window will open showing the functions offered by the module. You will also find information about its author and date of the last update here. Click Install now to install the selected module. This will automatically install on the WordPress website.
Plugin activation
Then each add-on must be activated. Use the Activate button for this step. For some modules you will also find settings that you will need to configure. The installed module will appear in the list of plugins on your site.
Update
If an update of one of the plugins used is available, WordPress will notify you by displaying the number next to “Plugins” in the WordPress menu.
In the list of extensions, you can also find an update message available with an update link. The system will notify you when the update is successful.
Before updating the add-on, make sure that this step does not affect the functions on the page. After the update, make sure that the add-on works correctly.
Deactivation and removal
You can find the link to deactivate the plugin in the module list below the module name. To deactivate the plugin, click Deactivate. If you have a module on your site that is disabled and you have not used it for a long time, you must remove it. To do this, click the Delete link under the module name.
