Settings are a set of tools in the WordPress site administration. Use the Settings feature to set most page preferences.
You will find the settings option at the bottom of the administration menu, which is displayed on the left side of the screen after logging in to the administration of your WordPress page.
Settings – everything you will find here
General settings – here you choose some basic attributes of the page: page name, slogan, URL address, language, time zone and so on.
Writing – select the default category and format for articles and the ability to publish articles by e-mail.
Read – sets the page display. Here you choose how many articles will be displayed on the page, you will choose whether to display the whole articles or only their previews, whether the introductory page or the latest articles will be displayed, and you will set the visibility for search engines.
Comments – here you choose the settings of comments on your site, the interaction between your site and other sites, pingbacks and trackbacks.
Multimedia – here you can select the image size, image thumbnails and the like.
Permalinks – Use the features in the permalinks option to specify the structure of the page URL, tags, and tags.
Privacy – here you set the appearance of your Privacy page in accordance with the European Union’s GDPR Regulation.
Tip: Some plug-ins also add their own functions to the Settings item in the administration menu.
