MyDreams is a Czech provider of web hosting, WordPress hosting, VPS and dedicated servers. In this review, I checked its current pricing, technical specifications, backups, support, user feedback and the best alternatives for websites that need hosting in Central Europe.

Quick summary
I recommend MyDreams to users looking for affordable Czech hosting or flexible VPS plans with clearly stated RAM, storage and CPU resources. Basic web hosting starts at CZK 66 excluding VAT per month, approximately €2.72. The main weaknesses are a less polished product presentation and a very small number of independent reviews.
For a simple WordPress website, the separate WordPress WP WebHosting plan is interesting. It includes 10 GB for the website, 10 GB for email, an SSL certificate, databases and daily backups. The general PHP web hosting plan provides 20 GB SSD, but email is selected as a paid add-on.
More technical users may be interested in KVM VPS plans starting at CZK 330 excluding VAT per month. MyDreams offers unmanaged and managed options, allocated resources, an IPv4 address and local data centres. For a business-critical project, ask for the exact SLA and scope of server management before ordering.
What is MyDreams?
MyDreams is a Czech hosting company operating since 2004. It provides shared web hosting, WordPress hosting, virtual servers, dedicated servers, server management, email services and specialised solutions. It can suit smaller websites as well as companies that need a custom server configuration and Czech technical support.
The service is operated by MyDreams innovations s.r.o., based in Hýskov, Czechia. Its offer is aimed primarily at the Czech market, although customers from other countries can order it as well. Web hosting is also displayed in euros, while VPS and dedicated servers are mainly priced in Czech koruna.
MyDreams differs from simple mass-market hosting brands through its broad server portfolio. In addition to standard hosting, it provides KVM VPS, managed servers, physical servers and specialised applications. This range may feel confusing to a beginner, but technical users get more configuration and scaling options.

Tip: Before ordering, read my guide to choosing the best hosting for WordPress.
Pricing and plans
MyDreams is one of the more affordable options for entry-level web hosting. Both WordPress and general PHP hosting start at CZK 66 excluding VAT per month. VPS plans range from CZK 330 to CZK 1,390 excluding VAT depending on performance and management. Dedicated servers start at CZK 810 excluding VAT per month.
Tip: You can find all current discounts and coupons in the deals section.

Web hosting and WordPress hosting
The basic PHP WebHosting plan is suitable for a smaller business website, blog or simple online store. For CZK 66 excluding VAT per month, it provides 20 GB SSD storage, free SSL, unlimited data transfer, daily backups, databases, cron and security features. Email is ordered separately with this product.
According to the order form, standard email hosting costs an additional CZK 45 per month, while premium email costs CZK 290. When comparing prices, do not look only at the basic website storage. Add hosting, email, the domain, any migration and the extra services you actually need.
WordPress WP WebHosting costs the same, but its capacity is divided into 10 GB for the website and 10 GB for email. It includes SSL, HTTP/2, MariaDB databases, FTP, subdomains, aliases, cron and several PHP versions. This is a clearer option for a typical WordPress user.
VPS hosting
The VPS range is suitable for websites, applications, databases and online stores that need more control and allocated resources. The listed plans use KVM virtualisation, SSD storage, administration access and at least one IPv4 address. Most plans are unmanaged, meaning that you are responsible for system administration.
The cheapest VPS LIGHT includes 3 GB RAM and 20 GB SSD. For a production WordPress site or smaller online store, VPS FULL with 8 GB RAM and 100 GB SSD looks more practical to me. It costs more, but the additional memory and storage provide a much better operating reserve.
VPS FULL + Management is the only compared plan explicitly marked as managed. It includes ISPConfig 3 and costs CZK 818 excluding VAT per month. Before ordering, request the management scope in writing, including updates, monitoring, backups, interventions, response times and incident responsibility.
Dedicated servers and add-ons
Dedicated servers start at CZK 810 excluding VAT per month for an older basic configuration, with more powerful hardware costing considerably more. They are intended for demanding applications, databases or projects that require an entire physical server. Most listed configurations are unmanaged and require an experienced administrator.
An additional IPv4 address costs CZK 100 excluding VAT per month, while a selected Premium IPv4 costs CZK 150. External VPS backup is priced at CZK 400 excluding VAT for 100 GB per month. A one-off intervention on an unmanaged VPS costs CZK 810 excluding VAT per hour.
These extras can materially change the total server cost. When comparing MyDreams with competitors, include management, backup, additional IP addresses, licences, monitoring and emergency interventions. A cheap unmanaged server can become more expensive than a suitable managed hosting plan once administration is included.
Features and specifications
MyDreams offers an unusually broad technical feature set: SSD storage, SSL, databases, several PHP versions, cron, daily backups, unlimited data transfer, malware scanning, WAF, Anti-DDoS, Anti-Bot and IDS/IPS. VPS services add KVM virtualisation, root access, allocated resources and optional professional server management.
WordPress and PHP
You can run WordPress on the dedicated WordPress plan or the general PHP hosting plan. The provider lists support for PHP 8.2 and 8.5, OPcache, APC and Varnish cache. MariaDB databases, cron from one-minute intervals, FTP accounts, subdomains, domain aliases and secure HTTPS connections are available.
I like that MyDreams does not stop at the marketing label “WordPress hosting” and provides concrete technical specifications. On the other hand, the price list combines modern and very old PHP versions. For a new website, use a currently supported version that is compatible with WordPress and your plugins.
The public offer does not highlight staging, automatic plugin updates or comprehensive WordPress management comparable with premium managed services. I therefore see MyDreams as technically capable hosting that supports WordPress, rather than a fully hands-off platform for users who want no maintenance responsibilities.
Backups and restoration
According to the documentation, web hosting and databases are backed up every day between 2:00 and 5:00. Copies are stored on a dedicated server, with restore points retained for one day, two days, one week, two weeks and one month. Restoration of standard web hosting is listed as free.
Daily backups are a strong feature, but they should not be the only protection for an important website. I recommend keeping your own encrypted copy outside the provider’s infrastructure. For WooCommerce or another frequently updated database, one backup per day may not be frequent enough.
External backup is not automatically included with every unmanaged VPS plan. The public price list states CZK 400 excluding VAT for 100 GB per month. Before launching production, verify the frequency, retention, encryption, storage location and test restoration procedure.
Security
For web hosting, MyDreams lists free SSL, malware scanning, WAF, Anti-DDoS, Anti-Bot and IDS/IPS. These are useful protection layers for normal websites and content management systems. Hosting security does not replace WordPress updates, strong passwords, two-factor authentication, restricted accounts and your own external backups.
With VPS and dedicated servers, the key distinction is whether you buy an unmanaged or managed service. On an unmanaged plan, you are responsible for the operating system, firewall, updates, services, logs and incident response. Without an experienced administrator, a private server can be less secure than quality shared hosting.
Performance and scaling
Shared hosting uses SSD storage and supports caching technologies, but the public offer does not state exact CPU and RAM limits for each website. VPS plans are more transparent: every package shows memory, storage, CPU count and management type. This makes capacity planning easier for a growing project.
Real website speed depends on WordPress, the theme, plugins, database, images, caching and traffic. SSD storage or large amounts of RAM alone do not guarantee a fast website. Before migrating, create a test copy and measure server response, Core Web Vitals and behaviour under load.
Pros
MyDreams offers a good balance of price and technical options, especially for web hosting and mid-range VPS plans. I appreciate the clearly listed server resources, KVM virtualisation, an available managed option, daily web-hosting backups, security layers and the ability to scale from a simple website to a physical server.
- web hosting and WordPress hosting from CZK 66 excluding VAT per month,
- SSL certificate and daily backups with web hosting,
- 20 GB SSD with the general PHP hosting plan,
- separate WordPress plan with website and email storage,
- KVM VPS with clearly listed RAM, storage and CPU,
- unmanaged and managed server solutions,
- WAF, Anti-DDoS, Anti-Bot, IDS/IPS and malware scanning,
- wide choice of VPS, dedicated servers and specialised services,
- Czech phone and email support seven days a week,
- 24/7 technical emergency service for urgent outages.
Cons
The biggest weakness is the less polished and occasionally inconsistent presentation of products. A normal visitor has to compare several pages to understand the differences between PHP hosting, WordPress hosting, email hosting and VPS. Server prices are shown excluding VAT, and there are still very few independent user reviews.
- the website looks dated and the offer can be difficult to navigate,
- different PHP and WordPress hosting specifications may be confusing,
- email is a paid add-on with general PHP hosting,
- most VPS and dedicated servers are unmanaged,
- external VPS backups cost extra,
- standard support is not 24/7; the emergency service covers urgent cases,
- I did not find a clearly stated specific uptime guarantee on the product pages,
- VPS and server prices are primarily in CZK and exclude VAT,
- the small number of independent reviews makes long-term satisfaction harder to assess,
- beginners may miss more advanced managed WordPress features.
My experience with MyDreams
For this review, I examined the current price list, specifications for web hosting, WordPress hosting, VPS and dedicated servers, backup documentation, contact details, terms and public ratings. I am not presenting this article as a long-term measured uptime test of a production website or as an independent server load test.
The price-to-specification ratio of VPS FULL and VPS FULL + Management stands out most to me. Eight gigabytes of RAM and 100 GB SSD for CZK 558 excluding VAT is an interesting technical offer. The managed version at CZK 818 may suit businesses if its management scope matches their needs.
For standard WordPress hosting, I like the low price, daily backups, SSL and security features. My concern is the unintuitive product structure. General hosting has 20 GB for the website and paid email, whereas the WordPress plan has 10 GB for the website and 10 GB for email.
Support transparency is also important. Marketing pages refer to 24/7 support, but the contact page distinguishes standard technical support every day from 8:00 to 18:00 and a 24/7 emergency service only for urgent requests and unavailability. Confirm this arrangement before hosting a critical online store.
I would choose MyDreams for a technically capable user, a Central European company with its own administrator, or a project that wants to begin on affordable hosting and later move to VPS. For a complete beginner, I would prefer a more modern and easier-to-manage alternative.
User reviews
User ratings for MyDreams are mostly positive, but their number is too small for a reliable conclusion. When checked, Trustpilot displayed a TrustScore of 4.1 out of 5 based on five reviews. Reviewers praised performance, pricing and support, but no new review had appeared during the previous twelve months.
The latest available review described stable VPS performance, fast problem resolution, security and a user-friendly control panel. Older reviews highlighted pricing, speed and helpful support. These are individual experiences, however, not a representative survey of thousands of customers.
The MyDreams website contains additional positive client testimonials. Because the provider selects them, I treat them only as a secondary signal. Before making a long commitment, test the support, verify the migration process and start with a less critical website or trial project.
MyDreams alternatives
The best alternatives to MyDreams are Hostinger, WebSupport, WEDOS and SiteGround. Hostinger is easier for beginners, WebSupport provides a broader regional ecosystem, WEDOS is strong in Czech domains and affordable hosting, while SiteGround targets users who want a more premium managed WordPress environment for important websites.
Hostinger
Hostinger is better for beginners who want a modern hPanel dashboard, easy WordPress setup, automated features and 24/7 support. MyDreams is more technical and offers interesting Czech VPS plans, while Hostinger focuses more heavily on convenient onboarding, website management and international projects.
I would prefer Hostinger for a first WordPress website, an international project or simple management. MyDreams makes more sense if you want Czech VPS infrastructure, clearly defined server resources or a physical server. More details are available in my Hostinger review.
WebSupport
WebSupport is a natural alternative for European companies that want a regional brand and a broader ecosystem for hosting, domains and email. MyDreams may be cheaper and more flexible for VPS, while WebSupport can provide a simpler environment for a normal WordPress website and business email.
I would choose WebSupport for a freelancer, small company or user who wants a more conventional regional hosting experience. MyDreams is more interesting for an administrator and a custom server setup. Read my WebSupport review for more information.
WEDOS
WEDOS, whose hosting division is also marketed as VEDOS Hosting, is a strong Czech alternative for domains, shared hosting and WordPress. It has a larger customer base, its own data centres and simpler mass-market products. MyDreams feels more individual, technical and server-focused for business projects.
I would compare WEDOS mainly for low-cost shared hosting, domain registration and WordPress websites. I would consider MyDreams for specialised VPS, managed servers or an individual technical solution. See my WEDOS review for its current pros and cons.
SiteGround
SiteGround is a more premium alternative for WordPress and WooCommerce. It provides automatic installation, updates, backups, SSL, CDN, staging and 24/7 support. MyDreams is cheaper and more flexible for private servers, while SiteGround offers a more convenient managed environment for non-technical users, agencies and growing companies.
I would prefer SiteGround for an important WordPress website where you want to minimise technical administration and need staging or international features. MyDreams is more suitable on a limited budget or when you specifically need VPS or a dedicated server. Read my SiteGround review.
Support and contact
Standard MyDreams technical support is available from Monday to Sunday between 8:00 and 18:00 in the UTC+1 time zone. A technical emergency service operates 24/7 for urgent requests and unavailability. You can make contact by phone, email, helpdesk, contact form or the Matrix community channel.
- phone: +420 774 447 953,
- email: info@mydreams.cz,
- alternative email: mydreamshosting@gmail.com,
- standard support: daily from 8:00 to 18:00 UTC+1,
- technical emergency service: 24/7 for urgent requests and unavailability,
- helpdesk, contact form and online documentation.
Before ordering VPS, send a specific technical question. Ask about migration, the managed-service scope, SLA, backup restoration, monitoring, security updates and response time outside normal hours. The quality and precision of the answer will tell you more than a general marketing statement.
Final verdict and rating
MyDreams is an attractively priced Czech hosting provider with a very broad range, from a simple WordPress plan to powerful VPS and dedicated servers. I recommend it mainly to technically capable users and companies that value flexibility. Beginners may prefer a cleaner dashboard and stronger managed WordPress features from a competitor.
My rating: 8.0 out of 10.
Recommended for: smaller business websites, technical users, developers, server administrators, Central European projects, companies looking for KVM VPS and customers that want to move gradually from shared hosting to a private server.
Not recommended for: complete beginners who want the simplest possible interface, projects without an administrator buying unmanaged VPS, and companies that need a clearly published SLA, self-service staging and a fully managed WordPress ecosystem.
Frequently asked questions
Before ordering MyDreams, the most common questions concern pricing, WordPress suitability, backups, the difference between managed and unmanaged VPS, support availability and alternatives. The answers below explain the main conditions you should understand before launching a website, migrating or selecting a server plan.
Is MyDreams worth it?
MyDreams is worth considering if you want affordable Czech web hosting or flexible KVM VPS with clearly stated RAM, SSD and CPU resources. Its main strengths are pricing, daily web-hosting backups and the broad server range. It is less suitable for beginners expecting a modern managed WordPress experience.
How much does MyDreams cost?
PHP and WordPress web hosting start at CZK 66 excluding VAT, approximately €2.72 per month. VPS starts at CZK 330 excluding VAT, while the highest compared package costs CZK 1,390. When calculating the total cost, add VAT, email, backup, management and any other extras.
Is MyDreams suitable for WordPress?
Yes. MyDreams offers a separate WordPress WP WebHosting plan with 10 GB for the website, 10 GB for email, SSL, databases, cron and support for modern PHP. It is better described as technically capable WordPress hosting than as a premium managed service with staging, automation and comprehensive application management.
Does MyDreams include daily backups?
Yes. According to the documentation, web hosting and databases are backed up every day. Retained restore points include one day, two days, one week, two weeks and one month. External VPS backup may cost extra, so verify its frequency, retention, price and restoration process before ordering.
What is the difference between managed and unmanaged VPS?
With unmanaged VPS, you are responsible for the operating system, updates, firewall, services, monitoring, backups and incident resolution. Managed VPS adds provider administration, although its exact scope can vary. MyDreams labels VPS FULL + Management as managed and includes the ISPConfig 3 control panel.
When is MyDreams support available?
Standard technical support is available daily from 8:00 to 18:00 in the UTC+1 time zone. The technical emergency service operates 24 hours a day for urgent requests and unavailability. You can make contact by phone, email, helpdesk or form. Confirm response times before running a critical project.
What are the best MyDreams alternatives?
The best alternatives are Hostinger, WebSupport, WEDOS and SiteGround. Hostinger is easier for beginners, WebSupport provides a wider regional ecosystem, WEDOS has extensive Czech hosting infrastructure, and SiteGround offers more premium managed WordPress features. MyDreams is most interesting for VPS and custom server solutions.
