Taxonomy in WordPress refers to a system of classifying, sorting, and grouping posts and other data into hierarchically organized categories.
When creating a stand, we use taxonomies to classify the content into selected terms.
WordPress offers two basic taxonomy options – categories and tags. Both options are used to group and sort articles.
