Quick summary

I recommend Blueboard mainly for smaller business websites, blogs, freelancers and users who want to run several domains from one account. One plan includes hosting for up to ten websites, daily backups, 50 email mailboxes, free SSL and Czech-language technical support.

Its strongest points are a simple single-plan model, a 14-day trial without payment, daily backups stored on two independent systems and broad technology support. Blueboard includes one-click WordPress, Git deployment, SFTP, CRON, Composer, a 512 MB PHP memory limit and databases on NVMe storage.

The weaker points are the base 10 GB storage allowance and the limit of 100,000 files, which may be restrictive for a larger WooCommerce store or ten active websites. Standard support operates on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:00, prices are quoted in Czech koruna without VAT, and the main support language is Czech.

What is Blueboard?

Blueboard is a Czech hosting company that has operated since 2001. It provides shared multihosting, domain registration, bulk email services, application hosting for Node.js and Python, managed VPS plans and dedicated servers. The company states that more than 5,000 customers use its services.

The main web hosting product follows a simple one-plan approach. You do not need to compare several tiers with different hidden limits. The standard account supports up to ten independent domains with their own websites and email addresses.

Blueboard is designed primarily for the Czech market. Its administration, documentation and customer support are in Czech, and prices are billed in CZK. It can still be relevant for international customers who need hosting located in Central Europe or who manage Czech-language websites.

Pricing and plans

Blueboard offers one main web hosting plan advertised from CZK 99 per month excluding VAT. The product page also shows annual pricing from CZK 1,440 and a discount of up to 20% for a six-year term. The effective monthly price therefore depends on the selected billing period.

The headline figure of CZK 99 per month does not mean every subscription length costs exactly the same. A shorter term can have a higher effective monthly price. Before completing the order, check the total invoiced amount, VAT treatment, currency conversion and the selected service period.

Tip: Current promotions and coupons are listed in the deals section.

Standard web hosting

The standard package is a multihosting plan for up to ten domains. It includes 10 GB of NVMe or SSD storage, a limit of 100,000 files, one-click WordPress, daily backups, free SSL, databases, email, Git deployment, SFTP and the usual tools needed to run a website.

The single-plan model is easy to understand because you do not need to compare many similar packages. Extra storage and larger database limits can be added as required. For an additional CZK 99 per month, all basic hosting parameters can be doubled.

The limits are sufficient for one or several smaller WordPress websites. If you use all ten domains, however, an even division leaves only around 1 GB of web space per domain. Image galleries, online stores and media-heavy websites may therefore need a paid upgrade.

Application hosting

Application hosting is an add-on designed for Node.js, Python and modern web applications. For CZK 199 per month excluding VAT, it provides an isolated environment with 1 GB of RAM, 10 GB of storage, two shared vCPUs, SSH, Git, npm, pip and PM2 process management.

The package also includes standard hosting for ten domains, a MySQL database available through an internal IP address, email mailboxes and an automatically renewed HTTPS certificate. Blueboard says it can prepare specialised environments with services such as Redis or Elasticsearch by agreement.

A regular WordPress website does not need this add-on. It is more useful for a developer or company that wants to run an application without managing an entire VPS. Higher RAM, CPU or configuration requirements are better handled by a managed server.

Managed VPS and dedicated servers

Managed servers are intended for more demanding websites, applications and business systems. Managed VPS starts from CZK 1,500 per month excluding VAT. The published entry configuration includes four CPU cores, 8 GB of RAM, 115 GB of NVMe storage and dedicated IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

Blueboard handles installation, updates, daily backups and monitoring for managed servers. One advantage is direct contact with the people who administer the system rather than a general call centre. Managed dedicated servers start from CZK 5,990 per month excluding VAT.

I recommend a VPS or dedicated server only when shared hosting is no longer sufficient in performance, file count, configuration or application requirements. For a normal blog or smaller company website, such a server is unnecessarily expensive and technically more demanding.

Features and specifications

Blueboard offers an unusually broad technical toolkit in one package. In addition to one-click WordPress, it includes multiple PHP versions, databases on NVMe storage, Git with automatic deployment, SFTP, CRON, Composer, daily backups, free SSL, email mailboxes and multihosting for ten domains.

One-click WordPress

WordPress can be installed directly from the administration panel without manually creating a database or copying files. The feature is useful for beginners who want to launch quickly. An existing WordPress site can be moved by FTP, Git or a migration plugin.

The official documentation mainly describes migration with the All-in-One WP Migration plugin. An automated transfer can fail with a large, outdated or complex website. Create your own backup before moving and confirm what migration assistance the support team provides.

After migration, test forms, outgoing email, SSL, images, redirects, cron jobs and DNS. Do not cancel the old hosting until the new site has been fully tested and DNS changes have reached all visitors.

PHP and databases

Blueboard uses PHP 8.5 as the default and lets individual domains switch to PHP 7.4, 8.1 or 8.4. The PHP memory limit is 512 MB, and the account includes ten PHP processes. These limits are suitable for standard WordPress and smaller WooCommerce stores.

Databases run on MariaDB 10.11 or MySQL 8.0 and use NVMe storage. One database can be up to 2 GB, while the product page does not specify a limit on the number of databases. They can be managed through Adminer or phpMyAdmin.

A 2 GB database is enough for most smaller websites. A larger WooCommerce store, catalogue or content portal with extensive tables may eventually reach it. Adding another 1 GB costs CZK 50 per month excluding VAT.

Backups

Blueboard backs up website files and databases every morning. Backups are retained for approximately fourteen days and can be accessed through a separate FTP account. The product page also states that daily backups are stored on two independent storage systems.

I consider daily backups on two storage systems one of Blueboard’s strongest advantages. Customers do not need to purchase a separate backup plugin merely to access an older copy of files or a database.

Some file types, particularly multimedia files or archives, may not be included. For an important business website or online store, I therefore recommend a separate external backup outside the provider’s infrastructure.

SSL and security

A free Let’s Encrypt certificate is available for all hosted domains and subdomains and renews automatically. Blueboard supports TLS 1.3, HSTS, DNSSEC and DDoS protection. Email services use SSL, antispam, antivirus, SPF, DKIM and DMARC.

Free SSL is now standard, but it is useful that subdomains are covered as well. HSTS and DNSSEC can strengthen communication and domain security when configured correctly.

Hosting security does not replace WordPress maintenance. Keep WordPress core, plugins and themes updated, use strong passwords, enable two-factor authentication and limit administrator accounts. Keep an independent backup that an attacker cannot remove together with the website.

Git, SFTP and developer tools

Blueboard is not designed only for complete beginners. It supports Git with automatic deployment, SFTP, unlimited FTP accounts, CRON, Composer, ImageMagick, .htaccess editing, mod_rewrite, mod_alias and custom error pages.

Git deployment is useful for developers and agencies that want to release changes from a repository. SFTP is safer than standard FTP, while Composer simplifies the management of PHP packages and frameworks.

For a specific application, confirm the available server modules, process limits and outbound connections in advance. Blueboard blocks certain foreign PHP connections for security reasons, although selected addresses can be allowed in the administration panel.

Email mailboxes

The standard hosting package includes up to 50 email mailboxes with 8 GB capacity and custom addresses for each domain. Webmail, IMAP, SMTP, antivirus, antispam and a catch-all mailbox on request are available. Both the number and capacity of mailboxes can be increased for an extra fee.

An 8 GB mailbox is sufficient for normal business communication. Blueboard states that each of the ten domains can have up to 50 mailboxes. This is more generous than hosts that sell email separately.

For critical business email, check sending limits and deliverability. Use a dedicated email marketing service for larger newsletters. Blueboard offers its own bulk email service from CZK 119 per month excluding VAT for up to 15,000 messages.

14-day trial

Blueboard lets you activate and use hosting for fourteen days without payment. After ordering, you receive a payment request and can test the service. If it remains unpaid after fourteen days, the account is automatically cancelled without a refund request.

This is more practical than a money-back guarantee because you test first and pay later. You can examine the administration panel, speed, WordPress installation, email, database and support communication.

During the trial, I would deploy a copy of a real website and test loading from the locations where your visitors live. Check storage use, file count, plugin compatibility, cron tasks and transactional email delivery.

Advantages

Blueboard stands out through a simple price model, multihosting, daily backups and strong technical features. One account supports ten domains, one-click WordPress, free SSL, email mailboxes and developer tools. Czech-language customers also benefit from local support.

  • 14-day trial without payment,
  • multihosting for up to ten independent domains,
  • daily backups retained for approximately fourteen days,
  • backups stored on two independent systems,
  • one-click WordPress,
  • free SSL for domains and subdomains,
  • Git deployment, SFTP, CRON and Composer,
  • up to 50 email mailboxes with 8 GB capacity,
  • support by phone, email and chat,
  • easy storage and resource upgrades.

Disadvantages

The main limitation is only 10 GB of storage and 100,000 files in the standard package. Capacity may become tight across ten active WordPress sites. Standard support is not available around the clock, prices are in CZK without VAT, and Czech remains the main support language.

  • 10 GB may be insufficient for several larger websites,
  • the 100,000-file limit can restrict a large WordPress site or store,
  • standard support operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00,
  • out-of-hours duty is mainly for reporting outages,
  • prices are quoted without VAT and in Czech koruna,
  • some multimedia files and archives may be excluded from backups,
  • the product page and price list display different effective monthly figures by term,
  • the service is less convenient for customers who need English support.

My experience with Blueboard

For this review, I examined the current price list, technical specifications, backup rules, contact options, application hosting, server services and publicly available user feedback. I do not present this assessment as a long-term uptime test of my own production website on Blueboard.

I particularly like the simplicity of the offer. One core package includes practically everything a smaller WordPress website or freelancer managing several projects needs. You do not have to study several similar tiers to determine which one includes SSL or backups.

Daily backups on two storage systems and access to around fourteen days of history are strong selling points. I also appreciate Git deployment, SFTP, Composer and CRON, because Blueboard is more than a simplified beginner host.

The combination of ten supported domains and only 10 GB of space is the main weakness. Ten domains look attractive in marketing, but ten complete WordPress sites with images, cache and generated files can reach the limit quickly. Additional storage is available but increases the total cost.

I would choose Blueboard for a Czech-language blog, a smaller company website, a freelancer portfolio or an agency with several lightweight sites. For a large WooCommerce store, a media-heavy portal or a project requiring standard support 24/7, I would also compare more powerful alternatives.

User reviews

There are relatively few independent public reviews of Blueboard, so it is not possible to calculate a reliable average from thousands of users. Available comments most often praise responsive support, straightforward administration and good value. The small sample requires caution.

HostAdvice did not have enough user data for a full rating and listed no user reviews. WHTop displayed only one user review. I do not consider such a small volume sufficient for an objective numerical assessment of customer satisfaction.

Blueboard publishes positive testimonials on its own website, highlighting chat, helpful support and the administration panel. Many visible comments are older and selected by the provider, so they should be treated as testimonials rather than an independent survey.

The best way to verify the service is to use the 14-day trial without payment. You can test the real speed of your own website, the administration panel, support, email, plugin compatibility and backup restoration before paying for a full year.

Blueboard alternatives

The strongest alternatives for international readers are Hostinger, SiteGround, DreamHost and Bluehost. Hostinger offers budget-friendly plans and several European locations, SiteGround provides a more managed WordPress environment, DreamHost is a straightforward US alternative, and Bluehost targets beginners and small WordPress websites.

Hostinger

Hostinger suits users seeking a low introductory price, European data centres and simple WordPress management. It uses its own hPanel instead of cPanel and offers several performance tiers rather than Blueboard’s single-plan model.

I would choose Hostinger for a website serving several countries or for a user who wants to move between plans as the project grows. Blueboard is more attractive for several smaller Czech projects, daily backups and direct local support. Read my Hostinger review.

SiteGround

SiteGround is a more premium alternative for an important WordPress or WooCommerce website. It offers proprietary performance tools, staging, managed features and international infrastructure. It is more expensive, and renewal prices can rise substantially.

I would prefer SiteGround for a business-critical website where advanced WordPress tools and global infrastructure matter. Blueboard is better for a smaller budget, multiple lightweight domains and Czech-language support. More details are available in my SiteGround review.

DreamHost

DreamHost is a US-based alternative with a custom control panel, WordPress plans and a simple product structure. It is easier for English-speaking customers, while Blueboard is more relevant for websites connected to the Czech market and users who need Central European hosting.

DreamHost is worth comparing for a blog or content website that does not need Czech support or multihosting for ten domains. See my DreamHost review for current details.

Bluehost

Bluehost is another well-known host aimed at beginners and WordPress users. It offers English support, a broad international brand and easy website setup. Blueboard has the advantage of daily backups, Czech support and a clear multihosting plan.

I would include Bluehost in the shortlist for an English-language WordPress website aimed at an international or US audience. Blueboard is more appropriate for Czech projects and users who value its regional service. Read my Bluehost review.

Support and contact

Blueboard provides support by phone, email and live chat. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00. Outside those hours, an emergency service is available for outage reports. Support is primarily in Czech, and customers contact the internal team rather than an outsourced call centre.

  • phone: +420 775 08 65 75,
  • email: hosting@blueboard.cz,
  • live chat on the provider’s website,
  • standard hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00,
  • outside standard hours: emergency outage reporting,
  • support and documentation language: Czech.

Direct contact with people who understand the service is an advantage. The disadvantage for international customers is that normal questions are not handled 24/7 and English-language assistance is not presented as the primary service.

Summary and rating

Blueboard is a strong Czech multihosting service for smaller websites, freelancers and businesses that want to manage several domains from one account. Daily backups, a 14-day trial, developer tools and local support are convincing. Its main limitations are 10 GB of storage, 100,000 files and standard support hours.

My rating: 8.8 out of 10.

Recommended for: smaller business websites, blogs, freelancers, agencies with several lightweight projects, WordPress users and developers who use Git, SFTP, CRON and Composer.

Not recommended for: large WooCommerce stores, extensive media websites, projects with a very high file count, businesses requiring standard 24/7 support and customers who need an English-first service.

Frequently asked questions

Before ordering Blueboard, the most common questions concern pricing, the number of websites, storage, backups, WordPress, the trial period and support availability. The following answers summarise the most important conditions to understand before activating the hosting.

Is Blueboard worth it?

Blueboard is worth considering if you want to run several smaller websites from one account, need daily backups and can use Czech-language support. Before ordering, confirm that 10 GB of storage and 100,000 files are sufficient. You can test the service for fourteen days without payment.

How much does Blueboard cost?

The price list advertises hosting from CZK 99 per month excluding VAT. The product page also shows an annual term from CZK 1,440 and discounts of up to 20% on a six-year subscription. The effective monthly cost depends on the selected term and should be checked in the order form.

How many websites can I host?

The standard Blueboard multihosting plan supports up to ten independent domains with their own content and email addresses. All websites share 10 GB of storage and a limit of 100,000 files. More storage or doubled parameters can be purchased for a monthly fee.

Is Blueboard suitable for WordPress?

Yes. Blueboard is suitable for a normal WordPress site, blog, company website and smaller WooCommerce store. It includes one-click installation, a 512 MB PHP memory limit, NVMe databases, free SSL, daily backups, CRON and Composer. Larger stores must monitor storage, file count and database size.

Does Blueboard provide daily backups?

Yes. Blueboard backs up files and databases daily and makes approximately fourteen days of backups available through a separate FTP account. The product page states that two independent storage systems are used. Some media files or archives may be excluded, so keep your own external copy as well.

Is the SSL certificate free?

Yes. Let’s Encrypt SSL is free for all hosted domains and subdomains and renews automatically. Blueboard also supports TLS 1.3, HSTS, DNSSEC and DDoS protection. The free certificate is sufficient for most websites.

Can I try Blueboard for free?

Yes. You can use the hosting for fourteen days without payment. The account is activated after ordering and you receive a payment request. If the service remains unpaid after fourteen days, it is automatically cancelled. This is a pre-payment trial rather than a refund programme.

When is support available?

Standard support operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 through phone, email and chat. Outside working hours, an emergency service is available for reporting outages. Support and documentation are primarily in Czech.

What are the best Blueboard alternatives?

The best alternatives for international customers are Hostinger, SiteGround, DreamHost and Bluehost. Hostinger is suitable for budget European hosting, SiteGround for a more managed WordPress environment, and DreamHost or Bluehost for English-language websites targeting a broader international market.
