SEO also applies to images. Optimize them and get more traffic

What does SEO have to do with images? You’ve probably heard of SEO optimization. In the world of WordPress and online marketing in general, the term SEO is used more than often. The acronym SEO means – Search engine optimization. I will not bother you with a long explanation of this mysterious word. Get inspired on how to make the most of it with images to attract more visitors to your site. By collaborating with the right SEO and images on your site or blog, you can achieve really high traffic. So why not use it?

If you haven’t thought about SEO image optimization yet, now is the time. Yes, I know this is probably one of the last things you think about when you put content on your website or blog. But big things consist of little things. Therefore, you should start paying attention to this one of them as well.
One of the most important parts of SEO image optimization are the “filename” and “alt tag” on your site.
Why is it good to always have the image name filled in? It may seem strange, but the file name plays a really important role in SEO.
Concentrate and learn how to optimize your images as best you can. Here are some tips.

1.) Don’t just use one word to name your picture (describe your picture as specific as possible)

2.) Use hyphens to separate words in the title (Google sees commas _ – as word separators. Don’t be afraid to use them)

The Alt text – alternative text

Do you have no idea what the abbreviation Alt tag means? It’s OK. The Alt attribute is part of the HTML image.

For example:< Img alt = “file in a row” src = “”>

This is the description of the image that will be displayed if the image is not available or if a text browser is used. It’s also one of the information that Google uses to know what your images say. This is important because it ensures the relevance of your site / post keyword in the search. It also helps match images on pages to search results.

So what should the Alt tag not contain? This text should be no more than 150 characters. Place more keywords at the beginning. The description should be as close as possible to the content of the post to which the image is linked. You can use words in words to describe your image. This text also serves the blind. The reader will record what is in the picture and the blind person will know what the picture looks like and what is on it. Of course, if the image is only an add-on and does not have any extra large informative value, you do not need to fill in the alt text.

The Title

The title is another important attribute of the image’s HTML tag that provides Google with important information about the image. The title appears in most browsers when you hover over the image. According to some gurus, this has no effect on SEO, but it’s worth filling in with a few meaningful words about what the image is worth. In addition, by title, you are looking for images in your site’s gallery.

Caption – Title

The caption is the text that traditionally appears below the image. Its exact location will vary depending on the specific topic and its appearance. You can also use one image multiple times in a post, but always with a different caption.

Description- Description

The description is what will appear on your attachment page. In this field you can write information such as how the image was created, an interesting story associated with it…. You can also add a link to the field from which you downloaded the image. According to several experts, filling in this field is in most cases essentially unnecessary.

The more information you fill in the image, the easier it will be to find you. For example, imagine that you are a wedding photographer and you are currently posting on your site along with photos of a recent wedding. Not only do you caption the images, but you also describe them, add a caption, and don’t forget the alternate text. Potential customers can find you more easily, for example, even if they follow the image search path. Because Google will index all this information.
